Following a very successful 2 years of resoling Sidi boots from all over the UK, Scotland and the Isle of Man and even one pair from Luxembourg.
We have now extended the resoling program to Alpinestar,s range of Road and Motor Cross boots.
Currently we have stock of the Tech range of MX replacement soles, SMX and SMX plus soles. We can order soles if we do not have your soles in stock.
Other ranges of boots can be resoled if we can find soles to fit. Quite often Sidi soles will fit other boots e.g. RST and some TCX.
There are so many different brands of boots on the market we cannot stock the full range of soles and indeed do not have suppliers for all the different manufacturers.
Please note we do not resole Daytona boots.

A customer supplied the soles. The Boots are size 44 UK 9, the soles are size 43/44 so you would expect them to fit but no! They are too short. If we are resoling your boots and it is a make of boot that we have the soles in stock please do not take a chance and order your soles elsewhere. We sell soles at the RRP and the discount we get on the cost of the soles is passed on to you in the fitting cost so if you supply your own soles the chances are they will be to small and it will cost you more over all. We are experiencing the same with Sidi boots. In most cases with Sidi boots you need one size bigger than your boot!
Alpinestars. We have not yet resoled all models so we cannot advise you as to what size soles to get. If you can find a local dealer who stocks the soles for your boot place the sole on the boot and see if you think it is the right size!
There are not many dealers who stock soles. In the south of England we have not found any, they are mostly in the North of England.
Some dealers will tell you that any cobbler will be able to fit your soles for you this is not the case because most cobblers are not sure what glues to use, because there is a mixture of materials on the boot that the soles adhere to, so a different adhesive is needed to glue leather to rubber, plastic to rubber, and also a primer on the rubber. We use a multi-compound adhesive, that has been tested for strength on different materials and in some cases we use a different specification of glue on various parts of the boots.
When cobblers fit soles on shoes and boots they do use a press however the press only applies pressure in a downwards direction -have a look at your boots! On most Alpinestar boots the sole comes up around the sides. Althought the glue is very sticky after heat reactivation the soles need to be clamped to the boot upper from all directions to ensure good adhesion.
Most glues dry in minutes to touch and have a limited strength until several hours have passed allowing the chemicals to react and cure to full strength. We leave your boots in our clamps or air bag press for a minimum of 1 hour, in most cases 4 hours, to make sure the adhesive has cured to a good strength. By the time you get your boots back the glue has reached maximum strength.
We stock Alpinestars Tech MX range of boot soles. If we do not have your size we have a local supplier.
If you have Alpinestar MX boots with broken stitching we can re-sew this. Broken buckles can be replaced subject to availability.
